Egemer Elektrik Üretim A.Ş. of Akenerji began operating the Erzin Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant in the third quarter of 2014. The power plant plays an important role in meeting Turkey's energy needs with an average annual electricity generation capacity of 7.4 Twh.

One of Turkey's largest natural gas power plant investments, the Erzin Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant is among the most important projects by Akkök-CEZ in strategic partnership with Akenerji with a capacity of 904 MW.

Aiming at high efficiency with an environmentally friendly approach, the Erzin Natural Gas Combined Cycle Power Plant commissioned by Akenerji in Hatay has the production capacity to meet about 2.6 percent of Turkey's energy demand.
