Aktek was established in 2007 to provide all companies in Akkök Holding with modern solutions in information technology as a central, productive, value-adding solutions and services provider. Nowadays, it is expanding its area of impact and activity by providing similar IT services as value-added services to institutions outside the Holding.

Founded in 2015 to provide guidance by adding value in the field of IT to all customers, especially Akkök Holding companies, doing feasibility reports and project writing, and helping these projects come to life in a cost-effective way, Aktek was ranked 110th in the "Bilişim 500" list in 2015. Furthermore, it ranked 74th among Information Technology Companies in 2015 and 23rd in the overall ranking of System Integrators.

Aktek is one of Oracle's largest business partners with an expert team in manufacturing, finance, logistics, human resources, business intelligence, and corporate budgeting on Oracle e-Business Suite and is a business partner of EMC, Sun Microsystems and VMW, market leaders in servers and virtualization. Partnership agreements have also been signed with HUAWEI and VDS.

Aktek is able to produce end-to-end information technology solutions through its partnerships with Cisco, Websense, and Symantec in the areas of networking, security and backup software and develops a variety of software using Microsoft products. In particular, projects are created on MS SharePoint Portal and CRM.

Aktek, an IBM Cognos Partner, is expanding its market share in business intelligence applications by sharing its valuable experiences acquired in the Akkök Holding externally.

In 2011, the firm also adopted SAP such as Software in the Sedaş SAP project, Datacenter Investment, Software Maintenance, and project-based periodical Development Support.

In 2012, Aktek's own product, ASOS (Aktek Meter Reading System), and Sakarya Elektrik Dağtım A.Ş.'s Remote Meter Reading for 7,500 meters won tenders from among 32 bidders. With the business partnership of Netaş Telekomünikasyon A.Ş., Aydem Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş also won the tender for 12,000 meters and the project was finalized.

Aktek carried out one of the most important projects in the IT industry in 2014 to create Turkey's largest supercomputer system by using Huawei technologies, with the partnership of SVR A.Ş. and Yıldız Technical University.

The Balans Software Project in Sakarya Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş. was successfully completed with the aim of moving the manual processes to a systematic and automatic structure, reducing user errors, storing all balancing activities, and authorizing defined users.

In August 2014, Aktek's General Directorate was moved to Yıldız Technical University Technopark in order to be able to respond better to the technological developments and needs of our country, to be able to integrate more strongly into the IT ecosystem, to offer the software and value-added technology services that it produces to the service of our country and global requirements, to share the technological values that we produce competitively, and to produce higher-level technological products and benefits.

In 2015, a structure called "Aktek Garage" was created within Aktek. With this structure, Aktek offers opportunities for people with creative ideas to turn their ideas into projects.

It meets the needs for planning, analysis, and financial reporting with the "A Performans" application designed for Corporate Performance Management. A Performans application was developed on the IBM Cognos TM1 platform. We have the Balans solution for budgeting and reporting for the energy industry. Balans Software is a complex software solution that defines the organizational processes that are moved from the manual and individual processes modeled in the MS Excel and other media to a systematic, developing, more accurate, precise, and automatic structure, improving user and usage effects.

The installation and implementation of Oracle EBS R12, the corporate resource management system, was successfully implemented at Gizem Frit, which joined Akkök Holding in 2015.

The ATLAS Customer and Distributor Management project, successfully completed at Sakarya Elektrik Perakende Satış A.Ş., is a CRM application for the advanced energy industry which enables customer and customer-connected meters, reporting in different categories, and the integration of the Market Financial Reconciliation Center (PMUM) and Abone.net's systems.

Aktek's teams successfully accomplished a very complex IT project for the first, timely, and most successful "unbundling" in Turkey for Sedaş and Sepaş in accordance with EMRA legislation and regulations.

The real estate management project carried out in SAF REIT was successfully developed and used. By developing software appropriate for the processes of shopping malls and real estate management companies, a structure integrated with the Oracle E-Business management system enables them to follow up all processes from end to end in different fields such as purchasing, sales, inventory, maintenance, real estate management, finance, accounting, and human resources. In this context, it is the first corporate software solution at this level of integration in this rapidly developing industry of our country.

Aktek successfully complimented its ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification with the international standards in the information security management system that it obtained in 2014 with its ISO/IEC 27001:2013 revision in 2015. Moreover, the ISO 9001:2008 certification, which was previously awarded to Aktek, also successfully passed the inspections in 2015. In 2015, Aktek added the ISO 22301:2012 Business continuity management system standard certification to its quality and information security certificates.

In 2014, Aktek made it to the list of Deloitte FAST 50 in technology companies in our country.
