A Stronger Brand with New Products

Ak-Pa was founded in 1976 to meet the need for a company to handle Akkök Holding's international marketing activities and export operations. Having started its business activities with natural and synthetic fibers, the company today exports its products to more than 70 countries across five continents. Having developed its product range in a short period of time, Ak-Pa began trading third-party products with its restructuring strategies initiated in 2007.

Ak-Pa adds value to the Turkish textile industry with its hard-earned experience over the years. In 2015, the company has strengthened its brand with its fiber and yarn products (polyester, polyamide, viscose, cotton).

2015: A year of solid results

In 2015, Ak-Pa again ranked among Turkey's leading textile exporters with mediation of exports valued at $364 million and $21 million in imports. Reaching the year-end with success, the company carried out the Holding's export operations and achieved the planned goals in the trade of non-Holding products.

Strong steps in non-Holding products

In parallel with the growth in the Turkish textile industry, Ak-Pa expanded its textile market segments while increasing its product diversity in its domestic trade activities. Reflecting its experience gained in the supply of textiles, semi-finished products, and raw materials to non-Holding products, the company continues to develop steadily in this area.

While continuing to provide export operation services to the Holding companies in 2016, Ak-Pa seeks to boost its trade activities in non-Holding products in terms of both quantity and value based on its newly gained experience.

Awards: Indicators of success

The awards Ak-Pa received are an indicator of its 39-year success story in exports. At the 22nd Ordinary General Assembly Meeting of the Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) and the 2014 Export Champions Award Ceremony, which took place with the participation of His Excellence President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Ak-Pa Tekstil İhracat ve Pazarlama A.Ş. won the first prize in the textile and raw materials industry thanks to its export volume. It also won the Turkish Export Champion Success Award from the then-Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the 2012 Export Champions Award Ceremony organized by the Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM). Furthermore, achieving the highest industrial exports in textile, it received the "Platinum Award" for the fourth time at Textile and Raw Material Exporters Union (ITHIB) awards for companies with the highest exports.
